Cross Country/Track & Field

Congratulations to Freshman Quinn Gallagher for capping off a successful

cross country post-season with the Northside Saints (Guerin Catholic’s USATF running club)!  Quinn became a 2-time All-American for 2015.  This July he placed 8th in the USATF National Championship in the 3000 meter run held in Jacksonville, Florida and this past weekend he placed 24th in the USATF National Championship held in Albuquerque, New Mexico…both earning him the All-American status.  The Northside Saints were formed 4 seasons ago and the National Championship was held in Albuquerque that year also.  Quinn went from not qualifying for the National Championship that year, to finishing 167th the next year in San Antonio, then 97th in Myrtle Beach last year, to finally breaking into the top 25!  This follows a 4th place finish this season at the Cross Country Coaches Youth National Championship held in Lexington, Kentucky and an 8th place finish at the AAU National Championship held in Decatur, Alabama a few weeks ago.  Quinn was joined by fellow All-American teammates Nick Hruskoci (St. Simon) in the 3000 meter run and Sophomore Jackson Street (Guerin Catholic) in the 2000 meter steeplechase this July, and teammates Addison, Connor and Jackson Carlile (St. Simon) this December.

Congratulations to Guerin Catholic’s Head Coach Tom Gallagher who will be recognized

by the Indiana Association of Track and Cross Country Coaches with a longevity award at their annual Hall of Fame banquet on Friday, January 29, 2016.
